Welcome to the Tri-State Triathlon Website where life is simple.
Swim, Bike, Run, Eat , Sleep. Race Date August 7, 2016 7:30AM. Transition opens at 6AM. Join us for the 2nd annual running of the Tri-State Triathlon located in beautiful Port Jervis NY. Whether you’re new to triathlon, a pro triathlete or just into speed, the Tri-State Sprint Distance Triathlon is made to order.

Introduction to Triathlon

Presented to you by the race directors of the Tri-State Triathlon

It's common to hear the word "triathlete" and picture a hard-core athlete attempting the grueling Ironman, a race consisting of a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run. But this fun, varied sport isn't just for extreme endurance athletes. The sport includes short races perfect for beginners, and teams, and as a runner, you've already mastered the most physically challenging portion of the event. My favorite aspect of a triathlon is the ability to compete as a team. People stay in shape and lead healthy lifestyles by participating in many forms of exercise. Some swim, some bike and some run. The ability for 3 individual people to come together, form a team and compete as a team is a great way to have fun and meet new people.
The introduction of the Tri-State Triathlon is a Match Made in Triathlon Heaven!
